Your dog bed should probably match your throw pillows

It all started with a remnant piece of Sister Parish fabric from an upholstery project. I had just enough to do something with but what...

We were about to get our beloved English Cream, Mabel, and the idea came to me...of course she needs a custom dog bed made out of designer fabric.

Not only did our dog's bed match our throw pillows we also were lucky that Sister Parish did a collaboration with Minnow Swim and we could add matching bathing suit for our son to the list.

Sister Parish Dog Bed

Option A- How to

  1. Find a fabric. I used a contrasting trim.

    1. local remnant store-if you're in Raleigh I recommend Courtland and Cait.

    2. fabric.com

    3. online remnants

  2. Find a seamstress and confirm yardage

    1. I use Sewabilities. Janene is amazing!

    2. ask for them to make a cover that can accommodate the insert of your choice. I used this one in size large.

  3. Find an embroiderer

    1. have your furry best friend's name embroidered on their new custom throne!

Option B-Less work!

  1. Work with Lola at Good Night Dog. She has so many trade only fabric options

I have my eye on this Brunswig and Fils Bird and Thistle bed, which would match the wallpaper in my dining room.

Brunswig and Fils Dog Bed- same link as above!

And remember...it's never too much if it's for your dog.
