This is why we CAN have nice things...the story of a living room

Here's the deal...

A curated, designed space on a budget is possible! This living room is inspired by traditional design with added pops of flare. The traditional blue, white, and green color palette creates a welcoming environment, while the pops of funky artwork give the room character.

Next blog post we will show a peak of the built ins that flank this room and add architectural interest and functionality. We will also discuss the intimidating task of style large shelf spaces.

TIPS!

*a curated collection of artwork will create an appeal in a gallery wall-not everything has to match

*when choosing a curtain, stay away from grommets! Curtain suggestions can be found here

*painting the walls, trim, and ceiling the same color, especially in a smaller room, will create the atmosphere of a curated home

Getting Closer...

We love to draw in 3D. We can walk through the space and understand if the selections are working together. This is a great way to test fabric options, artwork sizes, furniture layouts, etc.

Materials!

Not everything has to match! Textures, colors, and patterns that talk to each other is the goal! When shopping online most companies are happy to send you a sample if you want to see the fabric in person, I recommend this to ensure you love it!

This color palette is my go-to. I love the greens and blues and find them to be very calming in an interior space.
