How to approach built in beds

We all pin the pictures on Pinterest and like them on instagram-built in beds and bunks look amazing but feel like too much work for own homes. I am here to help! Drawing it out and changing the specifications of the mill work easily and quickly helped me land on a twin bed/bookshelf design for this finished attic.

We started with this mood board. The bedroom with the similar ceiling that we were working with inspired us to cover the room in wallpaper. The bedroom with the built in bookshelf encouraged the design we landed on for the millwork. Color and texture helps bring a room to life!

A challenge in this room was a bump out in the wall that needed to stay for structural purposes. we extended the wall to meet the end of the bed.

Stay tuned to see this room come to life!
